AIDS Action Case Study Challenge: Identify successful strategies used by community-based non-profit organizations to prevent HIV transmission by drug users. Activities: Identified criteria for inclusion in the collection, researched programs, interviewed researchers and program staff regarding prevention activities and evaluation data, wrote profiles of programs. Researched and drafted trend data, a statistical snapshot of drug use in America and its relation to the risk of contracting HIV infection; and developed a framework for the document. Result: The resulting document is part of AIDS Actions What Works series at www.aidsaction.org/legislation/pdf/ww4su.pdf. |
