Case Study

Challenge: Integrate cutting-edge technologies into skills training programs. The two technologies in this example are the Department of Labor's O*NET OnLine (the enhanced web-based version of the Dictionary of Occupational Titles) and Johns Hopkins SCANS Career Transcript System.

Activities: Learned the technologies and determined how they might be used to enhance existing program offerings, worked with staff to develop new activities and programs using these technologies, demonstrated their use with potential end-users, collected feedback from users, trained staff members in their use.

Result: These two new technologies have been integrated into the program offerings of several skills training programs.
